Staff Sgt. Lior Raviv z'l - Featuring Rabbi Menashe Uhr - Director, TYH Torah Thank You Hashem

"The impossible is possible – it depends how

much a person is willing to invest and work."

Lior, son of Sarit Siye and Doron, brother to Hila, Tal, and Yael, grew up in Rishon LeZion and served in the combat company of the 932nd Battalion, Nahal Brigade. Lior enlisted full of motivation and was awarded company excellence during his service. He fought with devotion and saw it as a privilege to defend the land. He documented the war in a journal he wrote and illustrated, with daily drawings. A week before his discharge, he fell in an encounter during an operation near Shifa Hospital. He was 21 years old.

In this profound reflection, Rabbi Menashe Uhr explores the inspiring message of Staff Sergeant Lior Raviv, who taught that what seems impossible can be achieved through willpower and determination. Rabbi Uhr highlights the extraordinary potential of the human soul and its divine connection, encouraging us to recognize areas in our lives where we feel limited and to take meaningful, actionable steps toward our goals. The message is a powerful call to align our aspirations with spiritual growth and to believe in the boundless strength within each of us
