Staff Sgt. Daniel Bezgodov z'l - "I stop thinking like a victim and start thinking like a winner – that’s who I am."

Daniel, son of Margarita and brother to Sandra, Vladislav, Yasmin, and Adam, grew up in Afula and Harish. He served as a combat soldier and commander in the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit. As his friends said, “his heart was as big as his muscles." He stood out for his respect for others and spirit of giving. Though initially exempt, he transformed himself during pre- army academy training in order to serve in a combat unit. On October 7th, he swapped shifts and stayed at Sufa outpost, where he fought off waves of terrorists, took command after his commanders fell, and continued battling until he was killed. He was 21 years old.

Daniel was obviously a winner in the way he lived, gave of himself, and empowered himself so he could serve in the IDF to protect his people and his country. זכרונו לברכה
