Master Sgt. Maor Gershoni z'l - "Your light in the sky’s expanse."

Maor, son of Noga and Benny, brother to Maayan and Itay. He was known for the joy he spread. He loved playing soccer, traveling the world, and experiencing life. The phrase “Think good, it’ll be good” was always on his lips. On October 7th, he was called up in an emergency draft. He was a D9 commander in the Combat Engineering Corps. His unit needed a vehicle commander in the southern sector, and he didn’t hesitate to enter Gaza. He was killed by a direct anti-tank missile hit in Shuja'iyya. He was buried on the first night of Hanukka. He was 24 years old when he fell.
